President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed that Michael T. Flynn, his former national security adviser was wrongfully brought down by the media with illegal news leaks. This happened on the same day when the news about Trump’s dealing with Russia before and after the US presidential election came out. Trump also criticized the intelligence agency for the leaks to the news media.

At a White House news conference with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, Mr. Trump said that papers and things are being leaked from the intelligence, which is a criminal act and it is going on for a long time even before he took the chair for presidency. He also added that there is a conspiracy going on to cover up for the terrible losses that the Democrats had suffered under Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Trump accused that the Russian Connection allegation is nothing more than a conspiracy by the Democrats in order to distract the media from the campaign mistakes that were made by Mrs. Clinton. With this early morning statement on Twitter, Mr Trump tried to shift media’s attention from damaging questions about Mr. Flynn and his other close personals who might have had connection with Russia. Defending this scenario, he said that the leaks about them is outrageous, not the contacts.

After the disclosure about Mr. Flynn, a retired Three-star Army General who has mislead the Vice President Mike Pence and other officials about his conversations with a Russian diplomat, the White House said that on Monday night his resignation was ordered by the President of the United States.

But on Wednesday in an absolutely contradictory statement President Trump said that the media had treated Mr. Flynn very badly and unfairly over the illegally leaked documents and papers.
