Samsung, the South Korean techno giant and the world’s largest Smartphone manufacturer is launching its new Galaxy S8 at Lincoln center in NY on Thursday. It may come in two sizes with iris scanner and water resistance. It is the latest model after the disastrous battery scandal of Galaxy Note 7.

Experts said Samsung needs to show innovation and have to put new features to gain customer preferences. The scandal cost more than $5 billion and even more loses may incur if they fail to mesmerize customers this week with Galaxy S8.

Samsung also has plans to sell a fresh renovated model of Galaxy Note 7 as a part of its damage control initiatives. According to Forrester vice-president Thomas Husson, disastrous and embarrassing failure Galaxy Note 7 led to the loss of customer trust and Samsung needs to gain the trust back by delivering a bundle of new features.

To give a hint of new features, Samsung declared to introduce an artificially intelligent voice assistant named Bixby which is different from other voice assistants as it will understand incomplete information command, a complete new innovation to interact with the phone which is likely to improve usability and convenience.
